The Office Cast: Where Are They Now?
1. Zach Woods
Corporate stooge Gabe Lewis is played by Zach Woods, so if you’re familiar with his work you know basically what to expect. He’s gangly and strange, socially offputting and brimming with unearned confidence, and naturally funny without having to do much of anything.
Woods is by this point a deeply typecast performer, but when you’re as good at your schtick as he is, there’s little sense looking to branch out too much. After appearing in Armando Iannucci’s In The Loop, he reprised a similar role in brilliant political comedy Veep, playing a brash, obsequious political aid. He was consistently one of the best parts of HBO’s Silicon Valley, playing much the same character.
He expanded his horizons somewhat as NSA agent Jeff Dellinger on worthy legal drama The Good Wife, but has since reunited with Iannucci for ambitious if slightly disappointing space comedy Avenue 5.
Woods is another Office talent with significant improv experience and continues to perform live comedy. He has also taught the craft at various US universities.
