The Office Cast: Where Are They Now?
18. John Krasinski
As half of the show’s pre-eminent love story, Jim Halpert was a major part of The Office’s heart. Played with reserve by John Krasinski, Jim was a subtly complex character, evolving from heartsick underdog to something close to the office bully over nine years.
Krasinski built up a solid filmography during The Office, including the good if forgettable Away We Go and enviro-flick Promised Land, and maintained the momentum after hanging up his tie in 2013. His most impressive credit is probably A Quiet Place, which he wrote and directed, starring alongside real life wife Emily Blunt. The inventive horror was a critical and commercial smash, and a sequel remains in the can, but delayed by the pandemic.
He also stars alongside Wendell Pierce in Amazon’s latest adaptation of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan in the title role, a series which is perfectly fine. During the dark days of 2020 he created the hugely successful webseries Some Good News, a celeb-studded YouTube project dedicated to positivity.
