The Simpsons: 10 Guest Stars That Must Appear Before The End

5. Steven Spielberg

Who said all our guest star selections had to be actors or musicians? Why not add a director into the mix. Why not add THE director into the mix?

Steven Spielberg has been responsible for any number of iconic films over the years, many of which have inspired The Simpsons to varying extents. The Sea Captain, after all, might have a little Quint (Jaws) in him. Jurassic Park has been referenced several times. Raiders of the Lost Ark is another Spielberg classic the show has parodied.

Playing himself would be the only option in this case, but there's still a lot of fun that could be had - and before all is said and done, getting the world's most famous director on the show would be another feather in The Simpsons' cap.

Plus, the show has dealt with a real-life Spielberg story before. The season four episode The Front, which sees Bart and Lisa writing Itchy and Scratchy episodes attributed to Grandpa Simpson, was loosely based on the director, who once brought three thirteen year-old girls to Hollywood to work on Tiny Toon Adventures.
