The Simpsons: 10 Guest Stars That Must Appear Before The End
4. Anthony Hopkins

Another voice that is completely distinctive, that The Simpsons simply will not be complete without. This one, however, is not for lack of trying. Sir Anthony Hopkins might be best known as the villainous Hannibal Lector, but the esteemed actor has also been part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, stole the show on HBO's Westworld, and has even done voice work in films such as How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
That said, Hopkins is one of a handful of actors to turn down the show over the years. No reason known, but both Lector and Hopkins himself have appeared on the animated series. Since they couldn't secure Hopkins, actor Maurice LaMarche provided his voice in season twenty-two's Angry Dad: The Movie.
There's still time to bring him on the show, however. Either as himself, Hannibal, or perhaps even in a spoof of Westworld (yes, The Simpsons already did it in Itchy and Scratchy Land).
