The shot is held throughout before it cuts to Bart, who looks like he's lost the will to live before telling Milhouse, "It's the last day of school, Milhouse. Try to show some dignity." This is Milhouse at his most bizarre and eccentric, and though hilarious to the audience, no doubt leaves Bart wondering why he associates himself with such an oddball.
