The Simpsons - All 15 Christmas Episodes Ranked
14. She Of Little Faith
Lisa, Buddhism, and Christmas. Sounds like a blast, right? No? Well it was greenlit anyway.
It's easy to discount Lisa episodes the way Peter dismisses Meg on Family Guy, but if we're being honest, some early episodes featuring Lisa at the forefront were really, really good. Among them, Round Springfield, The President Wore Pearls, and My Sister, My Sitter.
She of Little Faith, from season 13, doesn't come close to those. It was nominated for an Emmy, but that probably has more to do with it introducing Buddhism to the Simpsons fanbase than with actually being a solid Christmas episode (or laugh out loud funny, since it's not).
Essentially, the episode sees Lisa leave her Christian faith for Buddhism, only to have Marge try to bribe her to return. And of course, what little girl wants to give up Christmas? Richard Gere (a famous celebrity Buddhist) guest stars, but it's really a crisis of faith episode (or more accurately a changing of faith episode) than a Christmas episode.
