3. Soldier - Episode: "G.I (Annoyed Grunt)"
When the US Army tricks Bart into signing a contract for a "Delayed Entry Program" whereby he will be automatically enlisted into the Army when he turns 18, an outraged Marge orders Homer to go down to the enlistment office and get them to tear up Bart's contract. Whilst there however, the Army Recruiters trick Homer into joining up too. At Boot Camp, Homer proves to be a clown, and as a form of bizarre punishment, the Colonel gives Homer a foot massage whilst his platoon does push ups.
D'oh! How It Goes Wrong It quickly becomes apparent that Homer does not have the aptitude to be a soldier, so he is enlisted into a war game where he and other rejects are hunted down by the Army. Homer takes refuge in Springfield, which the Army invade with tanks. Marge rallies the Springfield community with a phone tree to coordinate resistance to the occupiers, in order to make a plan. The citizens of Springfield then spike the town reservoir with alcohol, intoxicating the occupying force. The colonel's resulting hangover is so great he reluctantly surrenders to the townsfolk.
