The Streaming Services Your Favourite TV Shows Are Heading To
3. The Lord Of The Rings, The Boys & Carnival Row
These aren't in the same class as the older, iconic shows mentioned elsewhere, but Amazon Prime's approach to TV content is slightly different to the other streaming platforms and there's very much a focus on original content. There are older shows on there for now - like 24 and Justified and a whole host of others - but their catalogue will take a hit from the exclusivity clauses attached to other streamers.
Like Netflix, their offering is likely to be limited by what is left when the other platforms take their balls home.
The big selling point for Amazon Prime - other than the fact that it's bundled in with free, speedy delivery of STUFF (honestly, this is why you need to have Prime above all else) - is there future plans. We'll see more of The Boys and Carnival Row and in a couple of years, we're going to get the huge Lord Of The Rings TV show that could well be the next Game Of Thrones.
