4. Roy's Wedding - Season 9 Episode 2
Jim and Pam's relationship is heavily tested in this relationship after the two are invited to Roy's (Pam's ex-fiancee) wedding. In a sweet gesture, Roy admits to his blushing bride that he was lying to her about taking boxing lessons and instead was taking up the piano in secret before serenading her with She's Got A Way by Billy Joel. This makes Jim and Pam think about any secrets they are keeping from each other and the two clash when Pam discovers that Jim is planning a business venture behind her back.
What sucks: Apart from The Chore Wheel opening scene. Pam is very annoying in this episode. Almost unbearably so. Sure, I understand that Jim is being secretive about phone calls and his vague answers only prompt her to keep digging, but her paranoia is so unlike the calm, cool character that we are used to. Unfortunately this episode marks the start to Pam being a very negative character throughout season 9 with only a few glimpses of classic Pam moments she was loved for.
What doesn't suck: The cold opening scene with The Chore Wheel and Andy forcing Clark the intern to help him with a news anchor audition.
