The Walking Dead: 10 Characters Who Died At The Wrong Time

As far The Walking Dead characters, few are as universally reviled as Andrea, a strong but broken member of Rick Grimes' original Atlanta group who eventually became the show's female lead.

In the first two seasons of the show, Andrea wasn't particularly endearing or well-written, her grief over her sister's death, her animosity toward her surrogate father Dale, and her repetitive desire to have a gun in her hands a cause of much-discussed audience derision.

But to note these flaws is also to note how strong a character she was becoming just before she died (in one of the show's most infuriatingly dumb death scenes), her love for the villainous Governor and hope to reconnect with her old friends allowing her to become quite the entertaining figure.

Despite this otherwise welcome character development, though - and ignoring the fact that Andrea makes it almost to the comics' end as Rick's wife - she was killed off-screen and rarely spoken of again, her growing potential forever squandered.
