The Walking Dead: 10 Comic Book Moments We Can’t Wait To See

9. Rick And Carl Alone

Walking Dead Rick Comic Phone Now in the series, we've already seen Rick begin to lose control over his sanity, the worst of which was hearing an imaginary Laurie on the phone following her untimely death giving birth. In the comics, a similar story plays out, however this is after The Governor has carried out his assault on the prison, leaving Laurie and the baby dead. Carl and Rick are forced to survive in the wilderness alone after being separated from the rest of the group following the assault. This is a great moment in the comics as it helps further develop the relationship between father and son. We get to see how these two cope alone which up until then we haven't seen. It leads to some great writing from Robert Kirkman and proves to be pretty emotional, Rick is the embodiment of guilt, and we're watching a man unravel, attempting to grasp hope but realising his own mind has turned against him. This is another plot that could easily be weaved in to the current set up. Though judging by the trailers for Season 4, it's not looking likely for the time being.
