9. Deanna

Mid-season 5: Deanna was a mysterious character to begin with. She seemed panicked by the entry of Rick and the group and she couldn't be trusted for a long while. Mid-season 6: Up until her death in the mid-season finale, Deanna was at her peak. She had a vision for the future, optimism that it could become a reality, and fully trusted Rick. Remember the days when Rick, the survivors and every single person watching at home thought Deanna had sinister ulterior motives? We were all wrong, Deanna was just as wary of Rick & Co. as they were of her Alexandrians. Deanna improved from a 'blind' leader into a genuine survivor and once she peaked, the writers sent her out on a high.
