The Walking Dead: 10 Most Underused Characters
6. T-Dog
Apparently, T-Dog was supposed to die in the first season, but the writers kept him around because he had become a fan favourite. As it turned out, though, keeping him around was rather pointless, because despite his general likability and badassery, he wasn't given anything to do for the next two seasons.
On the farm in season two, he was barely a background character, injured and slightly bitter, and in season three he was killed off saving Carol, having done nothing of note until that moment.
It hurts to say that, because T-Dog was a great little character who was impossible not to love, but it's true. He had great bonds with Glenn Rhee and Dale, and formed an underrated duo with Daryl, but he was always just there, adding some more muscle but little in the way of development or complexity.
T-Dog deserved more time to shine and grow, but I guess we'll just have to live with his final sacrifice as his greatest moment.
