9. Negan Hasn't Added Much
The arrival of Negan was a major deal, to the point that season six dragged itself out leading up to his arrival. It was promised Negan would kick off a new, exciting era on the show, and while he certainly made an impression, fans are already tiring of his shtick.
Jeffery Dean Morgan looks like he's having an amazing time playing the character, and it’s nice to know someone on the show is having fun. The problem is Negan is such a cartoon it’s hard to take him seriously, even after the head mashings. He swaggers into a scene with a cocky smile, waves Lucille around and occasionally threatens people.
He has around three unique reactions to any given situation, and they’ve already worn out their welcome. Despite the build-up, Negan hasn’t brought anything fresh to the show; he’s just a cockier take on The Governor, but with none of the character development.
