The beginning of the outbreak would offer a great picture of humanity struggling against the tide to begin with. Have you ever asked the question: How did the walkers overrun the cities anyway? It is a perfectly valid one after all.

Of course, cities are dense, but surely at the first signs of an outbreak, the army, emergency services, and medical teams would be on he scene to contain the virus, or at least attempt to. The spread must have been rapid otherwise individual cases would be quarantined and squeezed out of the picture.

It's a question that is long gone by TWD standards. but Fear is perfectly placed to answer it. The same could be said of how society divvied itself up. With so many people on the run, how were smaller groups formed? What was the initial response? And which parts of society remained fully functioning while the disaster took hold?
