The Walking Dead: 10 Romances We Could Have Done Without

This might be controversial, but Carol is one of the most annoying characters in the show. In fact, Carol is so irritating that you'd really expect her to have been killed off years ago. It's a mystery why she is still there, bringing nothing to the table and having most certainly outstayed her welcome. Some people still adore her, it's true - but is she really that great of a character?

The writers certainly think so, and as a result, they are constantly finding random stuff for her to do such as failed romances and ridiculous subplots that usually involve Daryl and their "wonderful and close" friendship. Please.

The worst romance came in the form of Ezekiel. Firstly, the two couldn't be any more different. We all know opposites attract, but these two were so far removed from one another it was impossible to ever see them having anything in common at all.

Secondly, the whole build-up was messy and poorly written. We never got to see any initial attraction, and then when they suddenly hooked up we were treated to a massive six-year jump which saw them somehow still together even though we never had a chance to see it grow.

Finally, the pair had zero chemistry. This was partly due to the actors and partly due to shoddy writing. To make things even worse, they broke up! So the whole thing was deemed even more pointless and a big waste of time.
