3. Carl

If there were an award for the biggest character turnaround in The Walking Dead, Carl Grimes would win it. There's only Carol, Rick, and maybe Glenn who can rival Carl for the 'furthest developed' character prize, with the young boy growing into a mature, young man, streets ahead of his idiotic counterparts. Straight down to business, Ron's a moron. He's doing things that not even 'stupid Carl' would do. Chandler Riggs has grown into the role and really developed Carl to a point where he functions like an adult member of the group, looking after Judith, and fighting walkers and wolves alike. He's no longer an irritant and is finally more 'Rick' than 'Lori'.
