The Walking Dead: 11 Things That Don't Make Sense

1. "Zom... I Mean... Walkers"

When you think about the major implications of it, one of the hardest details to wrap your head around in TWD is the total lack of the 'Z' word. Zombies simply aren't a thing in this world, with the most popular name for the creatures being 'walkers' of course. That could be an understandable change as it gives The Walking Dead its own identity, its own world, its own creations. However, look deeper into a world without zombies in pop culture. Think of the films that wouldn't exist, and the famous horror directors who wouldn't have been noticed. Think of a world where zombies aren't even considered at Halloween. Think of all the times you've groaned out of bed on a morning and somebody has said you look like a zombie. It's difficult to imagine a world whereby zombies are entirely omitted, but it has been confirmed that the world of The Walking Dead is where zombies have never existed, even in fiction. It would explain a lot of moments where people don't know to aim for the head or think 'yes, going down to the dark cellar after hearing a noise is a good idea', but its still a tough task to accept that Rick and the survivors had never heard of a zombie until they massacred some of their nearest and dearest.
