The Walking Dead: Every Season 2 Episode Ranked Worst To Best
5. Nebraska
During his tenure on the show, Hershel Greene was always a man of wisdom who seemed to have it all figured out. But in Nebraska, his worldview shattered, he struggles to deal with the reality of the new world and starts drinking after years of sobriety.
Leaving the farm to go to his old local, the farmer is followed by a concerned Rick and Glenn, and the three of them sit and talk about the recent barn massacre that's shaken everyone to the core. Meanwhile, Dale becomes gravely suspicious of Shane, believing his erratic behaviour makes him a danger to the group.
Nebraska is best when it slows things down, allowing the characters to talk through their grief and pain, but it comes with a last minute twist which finds Rick forced to kill two men - the first time he does such a thing in the show.
It's a major turning point in the trajectory and tone of the series, and acts as a horrifying reminder that the walkers may not be the real threat, but the people who've managed to survive the plague.
