The Walking Dead: Every Season 3 Episode Ranked Worst To Best

2. Clear

The Walking Dead
AMC

Until Clear, The Walking Dead's third season had been a major ensemble piece, focussing on a dozen different characters at once and occasionally struggling to juggle all their arcs.

Clear made for a welcome breath of fresh air, then, with a story that features only Rick, Carl and Michonne as they go on a run and bump into a disillusioned Morgan, who was last seen in the show's very first episode.

A striking character study which forces Rick to confront the new world's effects on the people around him, the episode is boosted to greatness by the power of Andrew Lincoln and Lennie James' inspired performances, which dig deep into the anguish and pain the pair are currently going through.

The episode isn't all doom and gloom, though, as it also features a sweet B-plot where Carl and Michonne bond for the first time on a separate mission. Both developments compliment each other beautifully, so much so that Clear would top this list were it not for one other episode...
