The Walking Dead: Every Season 6 Episode Ranked Worst To Best

Last Day on Earth was, for many fans, the final nail in the coffin for The Walking Dead. It's cliffhanger ending, the way it spends so long teasing Negan's arrival, the way Rick completely fails as a leader - it was seen as one big flop, and it's easy to see why.

But despite the cliffhanger, most of the episode is actually great. Watching Rick and the group try so desperately to escape the Saviours clutches creates some strong tension out of their latest predicament, and the reveal that they've been herded into a trap like cattle is a gasp-inducing twist bursting with terror.

Also, though the cliffhanger dampened proceedings somewhat, the official introduction of Negan is an incredibly powerful one, thanks in equal measure to the episode's moody visuals and the towering performance of Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
