Luring her away from the Battle of Hilltop and her more loyal followers, Negan promised to give her her daughter Lydia (Cassady McClincy). Instead, he led her to an empty barn and beheaded her in hopes of getting on good terms with the communities.

Alpha's reanimated head is then placed on a spike by Carol, in a delicious case of poetic justice, before being found and killed by an insane Beta.
