The Walking Dead Season 6: 10 Questions We’re Asking After ‘Not Tomorrow Yet'

9. Why Eugene? WHY?

Gene Page/AMC
Every point on this list is plot-based apart from this one, but it's an important question that has been asked on numerous occasions. Why, Eugene? Why do you do these things? I was all aboard the mullet-man bandwagon after he began to grow a pair in Season 5, and again during the Season 6 mid-season premiere, but his character is all over the place right now. One episode he's quivering at the thought of walkers breaching Alexandria, the next he's in the middle of a rampant horde with a machete. One episode he's showing some genuine human emotion, but in this one he concludes a tough scene for Rosita with nonsensical rambling. Abraham gave Rosita a harsh time, and it was very powerful, though the whole thing was ruined by Eugene, his ridiculous tight t-shirt, and his cookie analysis. WHY?
