The Walking Dead was spawned from the comic book, and one small detail from Episode 12 provided a vivid image that could've been taken directly from the striking source material. Rosita makes her way along a corridor before firing at a Saviour. He's killed instantly and the blood splatters up onto the screen. It's another aspect that shouldn't be overdone, but occasional moments bring a definite sense of the comic book action to the screen, and that can only be a great thing.
