7. Rick The Dumbass

It feels like an age has passed since the beginning of the entire series. The days of Shane being a rampant lunatic, Dale being a wandering plot device, and Lori being the world's worst mother of all time are over, yet Glenn and Rick's partnership has stood from the very first few scenes in the show, to the present day. Forget every other character bond, Rick and Glenn are the longest-running constant throughout the show. They know each other, understand each other, and their last words together were suitably nostalgic, with Glenn probably the only man brave enough to call Rick a 'dumbass'. That's a throwback to the Pilot when Glenn's first words to the sheriff are: "Hey you, dumbass. Yeah you in the tank. You cosy in there?" via the walkie talkie.
