4. Holding Babies

Morgan's story with Eastman was a total change of pace for the season, but while it dramatically scaled back in terms of action and cast, the emotion was there for all to see. Eastman was a fantastic one-time character, and he was also very, very right. He tells Morgan that he's "gonna hold a baby again" and sure enough, Rick passes baby Judith along to Morgan in Alexandria. This is just one of the many ways TWD is making scenes relevant after they've already aired. A couple of guys looking after a tiny child on a porch is hardly what you'd call gripping drama, but the scene suddenly has more importance as it's confirmation that Eastman gave Morgan hope. And he was right.
