The Wire Cast: Where Are They Now?
15. Michael B Jordan
Michael B Jordan broke hearts as tragic young dealer Wallace in The Wire’s first season, and from there he has been on a steady rise to the top. Perhaps the most in demand young actor in Hollywood today, Jordan has at age 33 a hugely impressive filmography of indie hits, serious dramas, and major blockbusters, and shows no sign of slowing up.
After breaking through with The Wire, Jordan starred in the final two seasons of Friday Night Lights, playing promising quarterback Vince Howard. From there he made the jump to the big screen. His first major achievement was true story Fruitvale Station, his first film with frequent collaborator Ryan Coogler, in which he played Oscar Grant, a young man killed by police.
He has followed that up with crowd pleasers like Creed and Black Panther as well as hard hitting, socially conscious work like Just Mercy. He is by now thoroughly ingrained into the MCU and will be a part of the upcoming TV series What If…?, reprising his role as Killmonger.
