The Witcher: Casting Upcoming Characters

Keira Metz, like Philippa Eilhart, is a sorceress. She usually has far less influence than Eilhart, but makes up for that in personality – as her character is in some ways not dissimilar from James Bond, with her often swinging from not very subtly flirting with members of the opposite sex to putting on warpaint and cracking a few skulls.

Kate McKinnon could do these qualities justice. Among her performances are ones that land on both sides of Metz’s personality, at least in attitude. They rarely get to the point of the actual skull cracking.

Casting her as Metz would provide the opportunity for McKinnon to go all the way on the skull cracking, gives fans a fantastic interpretation of the character, and would be a huge get for the show, attracting even more viewers. A win all around.
