The Witcher Season 2: 10 Monsters We Want To See
5. Lycanthropy
When it comes to thinking of some of the most pervasive images in mythology, the concept of a human transforming into an animal is always a high priority. Seeing humans cursed to turn into beasts is an excellent source of conflict and has led to some terrifying creations, with the most notable being the Werewolf.
The Witcher has a great connection to these monsters, as werewolves have been a consistent part of the games and books. Their appearances are often writhing with excellent characters and always lead to some spectacular battles.
Although the tragic circumstances of a cursed human is a great chance to tell an emotional story, there's also a thrilling purpose behind putting werewolves in The Witcher, as the ferocious creatures could bring Geralt to the brink of defeat and would make for one of the coolest fight sequences in the show.
Additionally, Lycanthropy isn't just limited to werewolves, as it can also explore the concept of Berserkers - those being human beings that turn into bears. There is plenty of potential for looking at these transforming humans, and hopefully, it's something that the show will deliver soon.
