Another of the great mysteries surrounding this series was the character of Jeff Lowe, lauded as a saviour in some circles and as a broke conman by others. Considering that the GW Zoo is still open for business is a sign that Lowe must have some resources behind him, although it is still unclear if he is as wealthy as he would like to suggest.

One aspect Jeff Lowe was at pains to emphasise in the finale episode was the building of a brand new facility for the GW Zoo, which would be rebranded 'Oklahoma Zoo'. There already appeared to be tensions in the construction of the new site however, with the accusations of Lowe being a conman again resurfacing.

How much focus the construction of the new Zoo would garner in a second season may well depend on how successful Lowe is in getting the park built. While the hope is that the park will be constructed and prove a better space for the animals to live, there has to be genuine doubts that the new Zoo will ever come to be.

While bad news for the Tigers and other animals of the park, failed construction attempts would definitely prove to be a fascinating story arc for a new series. This would especially be the case if Lowe proves to be a conman and can't afford the upkeep of the animals, which could open up a whole new story arc.
