John Beard One of the greatest aspects of Arrested Development is the interspersing of the local news, with the actual local news anchor, John Beard, presenting the pieces most of which involve the Bluths in some way. John Beard, like Gene Parmesan, has a significant role in the 4th season of the show, as he, like the Bluths, hits a low-point in his career as a news anchor. We should try to remember him from the good days of his career, when he focused on delicious stories like the Muffin Man mystery and the Bluths Banana Stand fire.
