11. Cooperative Calligraphy (Season 2, Episode 8)
I like bottle episodes, Ill admit it. And Abed comes to the conclusion that the group are doing one. Like I said earlier, some of my favourite episodes are when we just focus on the study group arguing in the study room. The extent to which everyone distrusts each other is ridiculous and very, very funny. Add on top that whilst they are stripping down enough to dislodge they are missing out on a Puppy Parade and the revelation that it is Troys old monkey Annies Boobs (its named after Annies Boobs) who has been stealing Annies Purple Pens, and youve got a classic.
10. Introduction to Finality (Season 3, Episode 22)
Now we get into the big leagues. The reason the Season 3 finale make the top 10 is not just because of the story in front of us but also behind the scenes. It is the final episode Dan Harmon was behind before being unfairly and unceremoniously fired. He wraps everything up, completes everyone arc and leaves room for more. Its such a small-yet-satisfying finale, and Jeff- the focus of the show when it started- comes full circle in his redemptive arc, with his closing speech being so touching an beautiful, it transcends a goofy sitcom set in a Community College. Its very touching, and as per usual, includes many laugh-out-loud moments, such as Dennis announcing the death match in the sun chamber between Troy and the murderer of Vice-Dean Laybourne (You all know the rules BE-CAUSE THERE ARE-NT ANY!)
