4. Matt Nix’s Series Is Pressing Ahead...
A few months after Hellfire was taken off the boil, Fox and Marvel announced a different TV project. Collider revealed that the studios are working with Burn Notice writer Matt Nix on as-yet-untitled series, which "will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive."
Producer Lauren Shuler Donner later told IGN that Nix's show takes place at time where "mutants are hated and there are Sentinels - though very different to what we've seen before." It's been described as an action-adventure series, which sounds very different to the mental turmoil of Legion.
Nix told Collider that "if you like that [X-Men] world and the world of the movies, there are definite nods to it,” teasing that this show could be a treat for long-time fans of Marvel's mutant mythos.
