4. David Morrissey (The Governor)

The third Brit to adopt a Georgian accent and play American, David Morrissey ended up in the unenviable position of co-anchoring the Woodbury plot. While certainly a Season 3 addition with an interesting premise (and great potential), Woodbury quickly became tedious as the platform for Andrea's transformation into the most infuriating character of the series, whose colossally poor judgment had the unfortunate effect of making the Governor's evil machinations seem much less impressive. After all, how hard could it
really be to trick Season 3 Andrea? Nevertheless, Morrissey turns in an excellent performance as the first fully-fledged human villain in the zombie apocalypse. He comes across as
almost normal enough that anyone could be tempted to overlook the totally creepy vibes in favor of the apparent safety and normalcy of Woodbury, yet at the same time, he is skeevy enough that Michonne's decision to get the hell away from Woodbury isn't nearly as ridiculous as was Andrea's entire Season 3 arc. While he does get a bit over-the-top at times, he vacillates so completely between his highs and lows that we see the Governor going insane rather than David Morrissey overacting.
MVP Moment: The Governor watches and then flips out as Michonne puts a sword through his zombie daughter's head.
