The Walking Dead 5.1 Review - 5 Talking Points From "No Sanctuary"

1. The Family Is Back Together

Ever since the attack on the prison, the various members of the group have been scattered throughout the countryside, carving their own path to the same destination in hopes of finding safety and familiar faces. Now€”with the exception of Beth€”all remaining survivors are back together again, albeit with nowhere safe to turn to. The show€™s strongest moments come when the group is peril, without a secure place to lay their heads at night, and hopefully we€™re going to spend some significant time this season with them constantly on the move. The sequences at the Greene farm and the prison have caused the show to bog down at times, and most viewers prefer the faster paced, nowhere is safe style of storytelling. The end of the premiere gave us a great moment with Daryl and Carol embracing, the reunion of Sasha and Tyreese , and Rick seeing Judith for the first time since the prison and thinking she was dead. It was a feelgood moment thatwe needed and will probably (hopefully) be short-lived before the characters are thrust back into a life-and-death situation. This was a fantastic episode, and along with last season€™s €œThe Grove€, another one of the best they€™ve ever done. We viewers are waiting with baited breath to see what happens next.
