WandaVision Episode 5: 8 Biggest Questions We Need Answering
2. Is This The Same Pietro From Age Of Ultron?
There are almost limitless explanations for how Pietro got from the X-Men universe to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the timeline would be slightly more difficult to fix. Jimmy Woo confirmed that Wanda was born in 1989, yet Peters' Pietro was alive and well in Days of Future Past in 1973.
This is a much bigger obstacle to overcome, which could mean that a more logical explanation is that it is actually Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Quicksilver, altered to suit the world of Westview.
Inside her bubble, Wanda changes things to fit in, like with Monica's clothes and appearance, the drone camera, and seemingly her own accent. In Westview she has a distinct American accent that disappeared when she left, potentially to fit into the American style sitcom life she has created.
Could the Pietro that turned up on her doorstep be the same brother she has known all her life, only altered to fit in Westview? Her subconscious could have given her brother a fresh American accent as she has given herself, and the new look could be a façade to hide his truly deceased form in a similar way to how she is seemingly hiding Vision's body.
Then there is the question of how this Pietro would be alive. It did seem as though Wanda has the ability to 'fix the dead', as when she refused to bring Sparky back to life it wasn't because she physically couldn't, it was because there were rules in place that prevented her from doing so.
What if her subconscious doesn't obey these same rules?
