Westworld: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best
10. Lawrence / El Lazo
This wanted outlaw quietly became one of the more interesting hosts on Westworld over the course of the season, thanks in no small part to this host's unique narrative. Beginning the season as the Man in Black's helpless hostage and delivering some much appreciated humor, the character is unrecognizable only episodes later.
It is discovered that Lawrence is not some minor bandit, but actually a powerful criminal mastermind known as El Lazo, and he hides his identity to protect his family. Unlike the previously established sarcastic Lawrence, El Lazo is charismatic, cunning, and deadly.
And as Walter White as his narrative may sound, El Lazo feels very distinct. Wonderfully brought to life by the ever-efficient character actor Clifton Collins Jr, Lawrence is fun and likable but always grounded. Along with the character's compelling loop, Collins makes Lawrence one of the better host characters that the series has to offer.
