14. Foggy Nelson
In The comics:
Franklin "Foggy" Nelson is the long-time best friend and partner to Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, under their private firm Nelson and Murdock. Though without any super-powers, he's an important part of Matt Murdock's life, both public and private. When Matt's identity was revealed to the public, his life was put in danger, and he was forced to fake his death. He eventually "came back to life", but was diagnosed with cancer, so Matt used his superhero connections to get Ant-Man to help treat the tumour. Matt eventually had to fake his own death so that Foggy could live in peace.
In The TV Series:
Playing a big role as Matt's partner and friend in the flagship Daredevil TV series, Foggy eventually severs ties with Matt in Daredevil Season 2 and goes to work for the law firm of Hogarth, Chau and Benowitz, under Jeri Hogarth. He appears in the Defenders series as Luke Cage's legal counsel, and later to give Matt a case to look into. He also briefly makes an appearance in Jessica Jones, Season 2, to ask after Jeri's well-being when she's diagnosed with ALS. He's portrayed by the lovable Elden Henson in all seasons.
