X-Men ’97: 10 Things We Want To See
2. Wolverine Learning About His Past
There are many factors that make Wolverine stand out. His healing factor. The adamantium skeleton. The claws. His habit of calling everyone 'Bub'. But another important element is how Wolverine's past is shrouded in secrecy since his memory was wiped by Weapon X. He learned bits and pieces about who he once was throughout the series but rarely anything substantial.
The animated series had a good reason why it never delved into Wolverine's life - he didn't have one yet. At the time, Logan's past had been barely explored in the comics. But after he got his memory back in the climax of the 2005 series, House of M, readers learned a lot about Wolvie. For the first time, we saw his childhood, his family, and the life he had that led him to become who he is today.
It would be an interesting to see Logan learn more about his past or regain his memory in X-Men '97. Not only would this open the door for some mind-blowing revelations but it could also help introduce some key characters connected to his old life including Romulus, Cyber, and Logan's son Daken.
