8 Things You Need To Know About The Women Of Game Of Thrones Season 6
3. Arya Is Blind And Vulnerable
1202335Book readers may be going into Season 6 'blind', with a lack of source material to work from, but Arya Stark is taking that far more literally than most.
The Stark sibling started her training to become a Faceless Man - and no one - last year, under the tutelage of Jaqen H'ghar, but when she couldn't let go of her past and took the opportunity to strike another name off her kill list - with the incredibly brutal murder of Meryn Trant - losing her sight was the punishment.
The preview images and trailer have already confirmed that she'll still be blind as Season 6 gets underway, which Maisie Williams told EW last year makes her "vulnerable."
Season 6, then, will see her continuing her training in Braavos, and eventually regain her sight (it's difficult to imagine her being blind for a full season). Although Arya becoming blind happened later in the show in the books, there are story strands they could still pick up, such as her wolf dreams, while we already know snippets of what to expect from The Winds of Winter.
There, she joins a mummers group and eventually kills Ser Harys Swift. It seems as though Swift has been swapped out with Trant, but the acting troupe - who perform a play about notable Westerosi figures including Ned Stark and Cersei Lannister - is set to appear in Season 6, so it's likely Arya will be a part of that storyline.
The other story to expect with Arya in Season 6 is a clash with the Waif: the Season 6 trailer showed her leaping through the buildings of Braavos, and it's believed that she's being chased by the Waif, either as part of her training or independent from the House of Black and White.
