10 Amazing UFC Fights You Must Watch In February
8. Magomed Mustafaev Vs. Brad Riddell - UFC Fight Night 168
We're not sure why there's been a sudden burst of MMA talent to come out of New Zealand recently, but it's becoming quite evident that we are very much in the era of the Kiwis inside the UFC.
One of the latest to make an impact is City Kickboxing lightweight, Brad Riddell. The 28-year old made his debut for the promotion on the undercard of UFC 243, which his teammate and current middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, headlined alongside then champ, Robert Whittaker. After brutally battering Jamie Mullarkey with pinpoint accurate striking and creative combinations for three rounds, it was quite clear that the Auckland native needed a step-up in competition.
He'll get that against fellow knockout artist, Magomed Mustafaev. The Russian striker is the personification of kill or be killed. None of his 16 professional bouts have gone to decision, making him one of the most exciting and fight-finishing friendly fighters on the roster.
While his style of fighting always leads to a finish, it'll be interesting to see if he adapts his game to deal with the precise striking that Riddell brings to the table.
