With Tyron Woodley now scheduled to defend his Welterweight strap to “The Nigerian Nightmare” Kamaru Usman, many of us, including “The Chosen One” himself, are disappointed not to see the long-term rivalry between Woodley and Covington finally get partially settled inside of the Octagon.

Interim-title holder Colby Covington remained confident about facing the Welterweight champ next but was snubbed by the UFC when Usman’s expert display against RDA pushed him ahead of Covington in the title race.

The bad blood between Woodley and Covington is already a major selling point for the UFC, and if Colby is able to settle his differences with Dana White, we could see him being a strong part of the title picture before the year comes to an end.
