1 Up & 5 Downs From AEW Rampage (Aug 19)

1. This Was Pointless

Keith Lee Swerve Strickland Private Party
AEW

F*cking hell, man - this was pointless.

Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee made a mockery of Private Party during their promo last week. The reigning AEW Tag-Team Champs openly questioned why they're even wrestling the team in the first place. Then, come bell time, Swerve and Lee slapped Party around like lowly jobbers.

The match was an absolute waste of air time (score another match for that category), being brutally honest, and it had several sloppy moments. Excalibur claiming it was some back-and-forth epic was eye-rolling too. Everyone watching has eyes, masked man!

It's free TV, sure, but one expects more from AEW Tag Title matches than this. Private Party kicking out of a few moves and then shaking hands with the champs post-loss doesn't cut it. Again, if WWE were booking Keith Lee this poorly, then everyone would be having a conniption fit, and rightly so.
