1 Up & 6 Downs From AEW Rampage (Aug 26)

Full transparency is important, and so is being honest. It was rather challenging to find any positives to take away from this week's Rampage whatsoever, but one short 30-second segment stood out for all the right reasons. It was one of those fly-on-the-wall moments that made fans feel like they were seeing something they weren't supposed to.

CM Punk was shown being helped back to the locker room after his bruising encounter with Jon Moxley from Wednesday's Dynamite. Then, in a neat touch, AEW kept the cameras rolling so Rampage had a killer exclusive. Punk's foot is mangled, and the once-defiant ex-champ can't hide it.

Bring on the intrigue.

Yes, it's still very annoying that All Out is next weekend and doesn't have a settled headliner, but this is a potentially-fun piece of spin off narrative. What does the future hold for Punk in AEW? Is he physically able to perform at a high level anymore? These are questions that should tick over for a while yet without the need for immediate answers, and that's a good thing.
