10 AEW ALL OUT 2021 Impulse Reactions

7. Britt Baker (c) Vs. Kris Statlander

Britt Baker and Kris Statlander rose to the challenge of following one awesome brawl with a gritty micro-banger of their own in by far the finest in-ring moment of the Champion's title reign so far.

Statlander simply refused to lose for the bulk of the battle, and with Orange Cassidy there to diffuse the threat of Rebel and Jamie Hayter and hilariously will the Challenger back into the ring, the crowd very briefly bought that Baker may not actually retain.

Of course, she did in the end, but it wasn't without some glorious physical escalation. Statlander ate sh*t so much here, she'll probably need Baker's other services to get her teeth clean again. Gutsy babyface stuff, it brilliantly obscured the eventual excuse for Baker to deploy a "Pittsburgh Sunrise" in yet another teaser for Adam Cole's possible arrival.

Statlander offered one last kickout from that, but she was polished off seconds later. This was a great night for Baker, arguably when she needed it most. The reign feels loaded with momentum all over again, especially with a new challenger already established emerging out of this event too.
