With ‘God’s Favorite Champion’ due to return to the ring in the near future, there can be no doubt that 'The Redeemer’ has eyes on reclaiming his championship (for his sake, as well as his wife’s based on some of Miro’s previous promos).

One of the most popular TNT Champions in the belt’s history, Miro went on a tear through the company after a middling introduction to AEW audiences as Kip Sabian’s best mate back in 2020.

Though he lost the title in September 2021 to Sammy Guevara, Miro used that loss to take his character in a whole new, albeit despondent direction, a captivating move that left fans hoping the fan-favorite wouldn’t be separated from the championship for long.

Absent from AEW programming since the World Title Eliminator Tournament at Full Gear in November 2021, where he subbed in for Jon Moxley, Miro is currently filming an upcoming television pilot currently in development for CBS called East New York.

While Miro is certainly a future AEW champion, another run as TNT Champion could do a lot to help raise the title back to the level of prestige it deserves.
