10 AEW Vs. Impact Matches That COULD Happen

3. Jon Moxley Vs. Sami Callihan

Jon Moxley and Sami Callihan are no strangers to each other. In many ways, the two are blood brothers, lifelong contemporaries bound by a code of violence and insanity. The pair are CZW icons, Ohio natives and former tag team partners, in the excellently-named Switchblade Conspiracy. Moxley and Callihan even won the wXw Tag Team Championships, holding the belts for more than 300 days in 2009 and 2010.

The two never crossed paths in WWE but the theoretical partnership between AEW and Impact makes a reunion all the more likely. Moxley has become the star he should have been in WWE, while Callihan has divided opinion but carved himself out a powerful niche as one of the main antagonists in recent Impact memory.

Their history is enough to justify the match-up, but it is the present and future of the two that makes it an even more tantalising prospect. Moxley is a bonafide star now, a former AEW Champion who remains on top of the world with a baby on the way and all the attention he could dream of. That's gotta make Callihan just a little bit bitter, right? The identity of Moxley's backstage attacker remains unknown; what price it being The Draw?

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
