10 AEW Wrestlers Poised To Break Out In 2024
Who's going to impress Tony Khan and become AEW's next big break out sensation?
AEW boss Tony Khan is already looking at 2024 as a big, big year for his company.
Wembley Stadium looms large again in the summer, and it looks like All Elite will promote more pay-per-view events than ever before over the coming 12 months. That'll either give fans even more of what they're enjoying, or have a negative knock-on effect and dilute the product. It's a risk, albeit one TK plans to take.
The main man will be scanning his roster to see which stars in the midcard pack could (in theory) break out and become his next MJF or Toni Storm. In other words, Khan will be desperate for a number of workers to catch fire and force their way up the food chain; hopefully, their graft will draw in some fresh eyeballs too.
Not all of the wrestlers featured here are home grown AEW products. Some of them are ex-WWE stars, but that's alright. AEW shouldn't shy away from anything that works at this stage, because there's money to be made in the long run if folks get over.
These workers should rule the roost come 2024!
10. Ethan Page
People were talking about Ethan Page as a steal for AEW when he signed with Tony Khan in 2021. WWE also seemed like a realistic destination for the former IMPACT star, but here here was: #AllElite and proud of it. Things...haven't quite gone to plan though.
That's why Page is currently rebuilding his career in ROH.
A brief stab at AEW World Champ MJF over the summer didn't lead to anything else significant for Ethan, but he's decided to keep his head down and work hard to see what comes of it. That's admirable, and it's partly why Tony Khan should give Page another shot at a top level in 2024.
The dude's seriously talented, and is a better mic man than AEW typically lets him show. That's especially true when Ethan has something meaningful to talk about. It'd be really cool to see him back in the hunt for mainline AEW belts next year. Then, who knows? He could blow up.
