10 AEW Wrestlers That Are Permanently Lost

2. Peter Avalon

Hangman Page AEW Title The Dark Order
AEW

At time of writing, Peter Avalon has wrestled 27 times in 2022 but only 10 of those bouts have taken place in All Elite Wrestling.

This statistic is broadly positive on a macro level; when not contributing to the weekly churn of AEW's television and YouTube offerings, it's encouraging that any talent could and would be permitted to stave off ring rust and earn money on an independent scene still recovering from the devastation of the global pandemic. For talents and local groups alike, this can only be a good thing.

But Avalon and others like him must be quietly wondering what - if anything - the longterm play is if there's still no prominent space on any of the outlets currently available. Dynamite and Rampage routinely cycle through wrestlers at a head-spinning rate and Dark/Dark: Elevation are squash factories where his ilk can at very least stat-pad against tryout guys et al. Avalon's record this year is 1-9, supporting a 9-52-2 one over all.

There's a certain comfort that comes from being the ultimate company man, but at what point does one consider another view beyond looking at the lights?
