10 AEW Wrestlers Who Are In Big Trouble

9. Matt Hardy

And on the subject of the Hardy Family Of-Firm, Stokely's squad acquiring the contracts of Matt Hardy and Private Party in October has done all involved very little favours at time of writing.

In truth, Hardy hasn't felt at all relevant on AEW programming since his brother was forced onto the sidelines due to his most recent DUI arrest. And one of his most recent Dynamite appearances alongside The Firm acted as the latest reminder of why it probably would've been wiser to keep the tag-team legend off television for a while post-Jeff-suspension.

The sight of Matt awkwardly grasping at a pop via rushed rendition of his greatest hits was just plain depressing on November 30. And the fact Hardy once again finds himself at the centre of an over-stuffed faction points to Tony Khan being pretty short on ideas when it comes to giving the veteran a reason for existing on AEW programming right now.

Giving Hardy a breather until Jeff is in a position to make a fit and healthy comeback feels like a bit of a no-brainer based on how this pitiful version of Matt is being received at present.

But if Tony continues to insist on cramming an unwanted BROKEN underdog story down fans throats for the foreseeable, then all signs point to further painfully embarrassing developments over the coming months.
